Active Release Techniques

Active Release Techniques (ART) is considered a form of soft tissue manipulation that aims to improve the function and movement of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. It's often used to treat conditions such as back pain, neck pain, and repetitive strain injuries.

Dr. Carter uses his hands to apply pressure and move the affected area in specific ways, with the goal of releasing tension and restoring normal movement and function. ART is often used in combination with joint manipulation, acupuncture, and rehab exercises.

Dr. Carter has effectively treated a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain,  plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow using ART.

Who It’s For:

The individual dealing with tight, restricted muscles, lingering soreness, or areas that feel “bound up” and limit movement.

The Result:

Improved tissue quality and mobility so you can move more freely, reduce tension, and perform without restriction. Often combined with chiropractic care and rehab to restore movement and keep results long-lasting.
